Unifi Gateway Console setup
Connecting the device to your computer using an RJ45-to-DB9 serial console cable is necessary when setting up the Unifi Gateway Console. Configure the console settings to the following specifications: Setting the baud rate to 115200, configuring data bits as 8 with no parity, using single stop bit, and disabling flow control.
When you’re ready to power up your Unifi Gateway device, don’t forget to press and hold down that Reset button for approximately 10 seconds. During this time, keep an eye out for changes in behavior from the right LED located on the WAN 2 / LAN 2 port – it should start flashing first before staying continuously illuminated.
Soon after, the LED will switch off, and your Unifi Gateway will go ahead and restart. When the reboot of the Unifi Gateway is complete, use a web browser to navigate to its IP address. You should see the Unifi Gateway configuration interface.
You can easily configure the Unifi Gateway by following the instructions that appear on your screen. An Admin Name and Password must be generated in order to obtain super admin access to the Unifi Controller. Confirm the Password, and click Next. Review the Unifi Controller settings.
