In-Building Bi-Directional Cellular Amplifiers
Wilson Electronics single band “SmartTechnology” In-Building amplifiers offer exceptional performance without causing harmful interference to the cell site.

Wilson’s single band amplifiers are available for 800MHz, 800MHz iDen / Nextel, 900MHz (GSM & iDen) and 1900MHz.

Why Wilson Building Cellular Amplifier Systems
Wilson Electronics’ non down-converted bi-directional amplifiers are the most technologically advanced cellular amplifiers on the market today. Their most important feature is patented oscillation shutdown protection, which activates complete shutdown within just a few milliseconds to prevent harmful interference to cell sites. Wilson amplifiers also offer completely adjustable software-controlled automatic gain control, both on forward and reverse links, which allows the amplifiers to meet CDMA and GSM ACPR requirements. The amplifiers are invisible within CDMA and GSM systems. They also have the capability of following base station power requests which allows maintaining the full power dynamic range of the cell phone.

In Building Cellular Repeaters
An in building cellular amplifier has 3 major components. An outside antenna, amplifier and an inside antenna. The signal is received by the outside antenna from the cell site. It is then amplified and repeated to your cell phone through the inside antenna. When the phone transmits, the signal is received by the inside antenna, amplified, then repeated to the cell site via the outside antenna. Call us today for a quick and easy consultation. 800-781-8431 or go to www.cmctelco.com

The Benefits of Advanced Sound Masking Technology

VoiceArrest Sound Masking System

The VoiceArrest™ Sound Masking System is measurably the most effective sound masking system available. Here are a few of the benefits you will enjoy as a result of new advanced technology.

Comfortable, Stress Relieving Privacy
Open office floor plans are praised for their encouragement of team building and communication. But these open-style offices can also create increased levels of stress among employees. Even low levels of noise at work reduce problem solving skills by almost 40 percent and significantly raise levels of stress over those colleagues in quiet offices. In addition to lower productivity and increased stress, these employees face the constant distraction of open office’s conversations.

The VoiceArrest™ was designed to provide acoustic comfort in this type of stressful environment. The gentle, background sound covers conversations and distractions. No more interruptions from miscellaneous office noise. And no further worries about who might overhear confidential conversations.

Through the use of four-channel sound masking technology, the VoiceArrest™ System simulates the full, yet gentle whooshing sound of a high-end HVAC system; this soft background noise is focused on the frequency of human speech and covers conversations and other distractions. The full, quadraphonic sound spreads uniformly across the coverage area, with no distortions or variances that would be distracting. This effective sound masking technology is so natural that you won’t even realize it is there.

Consistently Higher Privacy
The VoiceArrest™ Sound Masking System utilizes developments in sound technology and to provide a more consistent and effective level of privacy throughout the treated space. Through the use of Direct Field Technology, the background masking is perfectly balanced in both volume as well as frequency content.

This technology provides better privacy in two primary ways:

Greater levels of privacy per decibel of sound output.

Consistent levels of privacy throughout the entire coverage area.

Quieter, Less Intrusive Privacy
The uniform sound and consistent volume distribution of the sound delivered by the VoiceArrest™ Sound Masking System permits its operation at substantially lower sound levels than competitive systems, while still maintaining its effectiveness. Most masking systems must operate at 48 to 51 decibels of sound in order to provide acceptable privacy for most of the office space. The VoiceArrest™ system, however, is normally operated at 45 decibels under the same conditions.

The increased efficiency of the VoiceArrest™ System provides effective privacy with a quieter, less intrusive sound. Or if you require even higher levels of privacy than most offices, you can utilize the higher settings while keeping the sound output well within comfortable noise levels.

Controlled Placement of Privacy
Old plenum-based systems employ the air space above the ceiling tiles to distribute the sound masking “white” noise, but they often encounter issues in space shared by both open and closed office areas. When masking is delivered to the open area at appropriate levels, the sound also echoes into the enclosed office space and builds up to excessive levels, even if there are no masking loudspeakers above it. With the old systems, the only solution is to decrease the volume, and the privacy coverage, in the adjacent open areas.

Direct Field Technology used by the VoiceArrest™ System means the masking sound intended for the open office area is entirely restricted to the open area. There is no unwanted bleed over effect into enclosed offices or conference rooms. If masking is desired in the enclosed space, a separate zone can be provided, and its level is controlled independently.

Privacy + Paging + Music
The VoiceArrest™ Sound Masking System also has the ability to utilize the sound masking speakers to add paging and/or music. The balanced placement of our high quality speakers provides the cleanest paging system on the market without the typical “startle” effect.

Cost Effective Privacy
Businesses and other facilities are looking for a cost-effective way to provide speech privacy. Given the technological and performance advantages of the VoiceArrest™ System in comparison to the old plenum-based systems, people expect it to be more expensive. However, with new technology and efficient design, the VoiceArrest™ Sound Masking System provides state-of-the-art speech privacy at a modest, competitive price.

The VoiceArrest™ Sound Masking System is even more cost-effective when compared to other methods of increasing privacy, such as upgrading ceiling tiles, adding absorbent wall panels, or raising furniture panel heights.

Not because its your fault or your job to know this its because you have grown and it maybe time to hire your first IT guy or hire an IT service company. It is very important to talk with your cabling contractor about your existing network needs and to talk to them about your new up coming growth / network growth and potential. Preparing for the growth of your company when you move into a new office is very important because it can prevent network downtime witch could cost you money. By choosing the correct network cabling / wiring solution the first time it can save you money, downtime and costly repairs.

Another thing that is commonly over looked is the bandwidth from your ISP needed in your new office. Typically I see companies upgrade to new VOIP phones and want to use the same speed that was used before at the old office. If you have 50 new phones that use a common speed of 64KB upload speed this can cause big problems if lots of users get on the phone it can bring the network to its knees.

Currently Cat5E is the new cabling standard according to the NEC (National Electric Code). While top transfer speeds for Cat5E top out at around 350MB on a Gigabit switch there are lots of packet loss. However Cat6 is designed for transfer rates of 1000MB per secound and it is not recommended to use Cat5E with a Gigabit switch unless you have a managed switch. Cat5 is now a substandard practice for cabling and is not up to your local code. It is also very important to understand what Plenum (PLM) cable is and why using it in areas that share common breathable air in your office or home can save your life and many others. The most common thing people die from in a fire is not the fire itself it is the inhalation of toxic fumes from things like PVC cabling and PVC pipe and conduit it is very important to understand safety standards.

It is still common practice to use cat3 25-pair as backbone cabling but mostly for analogue uses.
